wpe4.jpg (14687 bytes) Brian O’C Leggett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Behaviour at IESE, the International Graduate School of the University of Navarra, where he specializes in both Management and Corporate Communications. He studied law at London University and for the Bar at the Inns of Court School of Law, Gray’s Inn, London. He holds a B.A. and M.A. degrees in history and law, and in rhetoric and philosophy respectively. His Ph.D from Oxford Brookes University, School of Business, concerned ‘the relationship between organizational commitment and the communication process’.

Besides his teaching, admistrative and research activities, Dr. Leggett is actively involved in executive training programmes in communication skills both within and outside IESE. Within IESE he has organised twelve ‘communication workshops’ for managers and executives and worked on the executive programmes. Outside IESEat the Lagos Business School (Nigeria), Publitalia (Milan), and the International Banker school (Chicago). Likewise he runs specially designed in-company training courses.

Dr. Brian Leggett is also a member of  professional/scientific associationssuch as the Association of Business Communication (ABC), the Management Communication Association (MCA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

1.The use of rhetoric and the dialectic in the communication process
2. The practical application of rhetoric and the dialectic in management situations such as presentations, speeches, negociations and interpersonal encounters
3. The relationship between communication and organisational commitment and identification.
